During Office Hours Test — Emergency heating service request

Parkchester Resident Repairs

Online Heat Complaints are only accepted Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. All other times, please call the Service Department directly.

Heat Season Requirements
Building owners are legally required to provide heat. Heat must be provided between October 1st and May 31st, i.e. “Heat Season,” under the following conditions:

Day
Between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm, if the outside temperature falls below 55 degrees, the inside temperature is required to be at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Night
Between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am, the inside temperature is required to be at least 62 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please be aware that if your steam riser or convector is not hot, this does not mean that proper heat is not being provided. The heating system cycles on and off to reach and maintain the required indoor temperature.

If you believe the temperature in your apartment is below what is required, the Engineering Department’s field technician will go to your apartment to measure the current temperature in order to troubleshoot any problem.
