New tree guards are coming to Unionport Road. These practical little metal fences will surround the base of our trees to provide a physical barrier between the trees and our sometimes harsh urban environment. The guards will help to prolong the life of our trees, keep them from being damaged, ensure pedestrians don’t get hurt and help protect residents from injury. Pictured is an example of the type of guard being installed.
